Beclomethasone Dipropionate B.P. 50mcg

General:
Alanase 50 Aqueous Nasal Spray contains a corticosteroid used for the short termprevention and treatment of seasonal allergic rhinitis (hayfever).

Alanase is not intended to give immediate relief. Generally it will take a few days toachieve the full effect. It is therefore important that you use your spray regularly atthe times recommended.

Treatment of seasonal allergic rhinitis should start before exposure to allergens, ifpossible.

Side Effects:
Occasionally sneezing attacks may follow immediately after the use of Alanase. Headaches may also occur. If either of these side effects persist, or any other side effects develop, consult with your pharmacist if unsure.

Warnings and Precautions:
Keep out of reach of children. Do not use Alanase if you have re-occurring nasal bleeding or haemorrhagic diathesis. Do not use Alanase for children under 12 years of age, without first consulting with your doctor. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking other corticosteroid medication, consult with your doctor before using Alanase. If you have recently had an injury or surgery to your nose, or problems with ulceration in your nose, consult with your doctor. If you experience acute eye pain or visual disturbance, consult with your doctor. If you develop signs or symptoms of infection such as fever, nasal or facial pain or swelling, discoloured or purulent (pus containing) nasal discharge or bleeding from the nose, consult with your doctor.

Do not exceed the stated number of sprays each day. If your hayfever symptoms have not improved within 7 days of using Alanase, consult with your doctor. Do not use Alanase for more than 6 months except on medical advice. Do not use Alanase if you have an allergy to Beclomethasone Dipropionate

Store below 25⁰C but do not refrigerate.
Keep the bottlein an upright position. Protect from light. Discard three months after first using spray.

Dosage:
Adults and children over 12 years: Initially one or two sprays into each nostril twice aday, then after 2 to 3 days, one spray into each nostril twice a day
