What Is Flonase?
A common question we get asked when it comes to generic hayfever products is what is flonase? Basically its the brand name of a variety of nasal spray used for stuffy noses, itching, sneezing and allergies.

Flonase is not a common brand name here in New Zealand how ever we do have a generic version of the product called Flixonase.

This steroid nasal spray contains the same active ingredient Fluticasone. It has just been produced under a different brand name. It comes in a 120 pack.
What does it do?
This steroid nasal spray works by preventing the release of histamine in the body, which can cause inflammation and allergic responses in the body.
What is it used for?
This hayfever nasal spray is usually utilised during allergy season and can be used with or without other antihitamines. Because it is a generic is usually be a more desirable price as it does not have the same overheads from advertising as the big name brands
