How to use a Nicorette InhalerYou can inhale from the Nicorette Inhalator, as and when you need to, using either shallow or deep draws. How to refil the Nicorette InhalatorRemove the mouthpiece from the plastic wrap. Align the marks on the mouthpiece and pull apart. Take out the blister tray. Peel back to release one cartridge Press the cartridge firmly into the bottom of the mouthpiece until the seal breaks. Put the top onto the mouthpiece. Again align the marks on the mouthpiece and push the top and bottom firmly together to break the top seal of the cartridge. Twist to misalign the marks.Your NICORETTE Inhaler is now ready to us.
How do I use a Nicorette Inhalator/ Dosage?Each Inhaler unit is 15mg nicotine and lasts approximately 20 minutes of intense use with deep inhalations. You should use the inhalator intensively for 5 minutes, four times. The dosage is individual and depends on how much nicotine you need to reduce the withdrawal symptoms. You should use 6 to 12 inhalers per day. The normal treatment period is 3 months, after which you should gradually reduce the dose up to a maximum of 6 months. Nicorette inhalers are the ideal way of quitting for smokers who need to keep their hands busy. Don't go cold turkey - keep your hands and mouth busy - so you can focus on staying smoke free.
Are there any warnings or precautions?The Nicorette Inhaler should not be used if you have a hypersensitivity to nicotine or menthol. Nicorette Inhaler should not be used during pregnancy except by women who cannot stop smoking without nicotine replacement. Do not use Nicorette Inhaler while breastfeeding without consulting your GP. You should stop smoking while using Nicorette Inhaler. Consult your GP if you have severe cardiovascular disease, gastric ulcer, chronic throat disease or asthma. People under 18 should not use Nicorette Inhaler without consulting their GP.
Non-smokers should not use the inhaler.
